An academy built by teachers, not marketers

Who we are

We are a Quran school. That sentence sounds obvious, but it shapes everything: our teachers are our product, our classes are our service, and everything else — the website, the booking, the technology — exists only to put a good teacher and a willing student in the same (virtual) room at the same time every week.

The academy began as Noorulquran Islamic center for Quran memorization (مدرسة نورالقران لتحفيظ القرآن) in Peshawar, teaching Hifz and Nazra the way they have always been taught: one teacher listening closely to one student, every day, for years. When families who moved abroad asked us to keep teaching their children over video calls, we discovered what is now the core of our work — the classical method survives the internet fully intact, as long as you refuse to compromise on the one-teacher-one-student rule.

Today our teachers serve students across the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, the Gulf, and Pakistan, while Noorulquran Islamic center for Quran memorization (مدرسة نورالقران لتحفيظ القرآن) in Peshawar continues on campus.

How we teach

Nothing about our method is novel, and we consider that a feature:

- One student, one teacher, every class. Group classes are cheaper to run and worse in every other way. We do not offer them. - The same teacher, week after week. Progress in Quran learning is a relationship. Your teacher knows exactly which letters your child confuses and which surah needs revising, because they were there last week. - A written register, shared with parents. Every student has a progress record — current page, error patterns, homework — and parents receive a weekly note on WhatsApp. You should never have to ask "so… how is it actually going?" - Honest pacing. We slow down when retention weakens and we say so. A finished Qaida that holds is worth more than a rushed one that collapses in Nazra.

What we ask of families

Ten minutes of daily practice, a protected class time, and patience with the slow parts. Quran learning has slow parts; every graduate you have ever admired went through them.
